The added rosemary oil is a nice touch—it leaves the scalp feeling refreshed and adds a bit of shine. The texture is thick but manageable, and a little goes a long way. Finally!! A gel that tames flyaways and does not flake! Don't get me wrong...I love big frizzy hair most of the time, but when I'm doing intricate styles, I am very particular about parts and hair being out of place. I have been looking for a product that will keep my daughter's hair laid in a style for at least a week and a half due to the fact that she participates in multiple sports. I think we found it! I enjoyed using the Style Factor Lock Booster Twist & Grip Braid Gel to style my daughter's birthday hair in criss-cross twists! I received a 5oz jar of the pomade infused with Rosemary Oil. I chose the rosemary oil version due to its ability to promote and support healthy hair growth. I used the gel on dry hair, but I suspect it would work just as well on damp hair. A little goes a long way, so you will definitely get your money's worth. Her hair stayed nice, neat, and shiny for almost 2 weeks despite her being a very rough sleeper! I am excited to try the other versions of the gel on her hair and mine!

This product is great it’s very, very thick, don’t expect a liquid because it’s not. The texture is even weirder lol it’s a pomade but it does a nice job for slicked back styles like a tight bun or tight braids. I like how it helps eliminate frizz and it makes my hair look shiny but not oily. The Rosemary is strong but no you won’t be smelling like Rosemary all day 😂. It does not leave any flakes.

I’ve been using Style Factor for years for edge control so I was excited to try something new, especially as I plan to get braids this summer. The standout about Style Factor is the scent and texture—strong, tacky, doesn’t leave a white cast. With that said, I do feel that this product is best suited for someone with locks or twists who want to do light maintenance between hair appointments. This product didn’t fare well with braiding extensions hair, granted that was not the purpose of the product.
